Creating a Niche for Clubs International/Odyssey Resorts International By emphasizing seasonal rates, special promotions, new amenities and facilities, children's programs and special events, Clubs International received national coverage in newspapers, magazines as well as mentions and listings in the trade publications on a regular basis. We conducted group press trips and assisted key journalists in visits to the properties. We focused exclusively on media targeted to families and affordable travel, and received feature placements in national magazines such as Child, Parent, McCalls, Family Fun, Car & Travel and in regional publications from important feeder markets that included the NY Post, NY Family, Baltimore Parents and others. The result of this publicity was a growing increase in American visitors, and increased awareness of the individual properties among both consumers and travel agents. When Clubs International went through a major renovation and rebranding program, our focus shifted to introducing the new entity, and the new concept behind the Odyssey Resorts name change. We organized both group and individual press trips to familiarize the media with the changes first hand. In just a three month period we garnered coverage in consumer media reaching over 5.5 million readers.
